Had such a great time in LA can not wait to get back out there and do it again. I met so many great new people and got to experience how amazing our plant based community really is. I was fortunate enough to cross paths with photographer who took some great shots for me and this was one of my favorite. This Charlie Chaplin mural Caught my attention several times in passing through out the day, I knew I had to get a pic here and this was one of the first places he took me without me saying a word. Shoutout to my new friend Tom Williamson in Venice for the fantastic photos! .
I've been making a lot of vegetable juices around here lately and the effects are pretty visible. Having it first thing in the morn gives my disgestion and alow and easy start to the day which really carries through it. I feel better spending the first half of the morning drinking instead of eating, which is also super hydrating after sleep. It's all jam packed full vitamins and minerals. This guy is a blend of beets, celery, carrot, lemon, spinach, ginger
Some days are better than others. Blame it on pasta 🍝
When you went for a longer walk than usual, came home tired and hungry af and then your vegan meal turned out better than expected. One hell of a day! 💚
Did you know the human body carries 5-20 pounds of extra sludge build up in our digestion systems?! 🤢
So that explains that lovely little belly bloat!!
Now summer is here you may feel you’re out of time to do anything to get rid of the bulge but this little miracle is a winner!!! I’m looking for 10 friends who want to try Arbonne’s new Lemon 🍋 & Ginger Body CLEANSE (with discounts given, of course)! 👊🏻
Now I don’t know if there’s 20 pounds of sludge in me or you but I do know that most of us have some amount of crud and nasty toxins in our GI tracts that we could do without...right?!! 🙌🏻
Well this cleanse is super simple - just mix with warm water and sip throughout the day for only 7 days to get rid of toxins! It tastes delicious, it’s aloe 🌱 based and is used alongside eating real food! OH and it’s super gentle so no need to be chained to the 🚽
Who’s with me?!

So I switched gyms & it was the best thing I’ve done so far I feel so motivated to go now the atmosphere there is so much better than my old gym. + I’ve been eating super clean since I’ve been going I guess since I’ve been so motivated to workout it transferred into my diet to idk. I haven’t lost any weight tho but I know that’ll come in time I’m just working on being the best me I can be and everything else will fall into place. Thank you for listening to my TedTalk.
I found vegan nasi padang in Berlin!!! and it's with kale instead of cassava leaves. :-))))) super hipster.
It is basically rice with green chili sauce, mushroom, tempe, tofu, bamboo shots, shredded kale, and grilled potatoes. mind blown it was so good.
Today was one of those rare days.....I actually washed my hair 😂💁🏼♀️ It's also a day of feeling optimistic about getting my gut health and nutrition back in order! I hired my good friend @taracarlton_fit to help me with my nutrition and to help keep me accountable to my goals. It's one thing to be about to help others with their health and fitness goals, but when it comes to myself, I start to over think and over analyze things and I find myself questioning my own self. On top of that, with my kids getting older, eating basically everything we eat, I've found myself straying from my macro goals and eating more of their foods in addition to my own and I've found my weight slowly creeping up. In addition to that, I've continued to feel awful, with my bloated/gassy tummy, and I really just can't take feeling this way any longer. So, that's when I reached out to my girl! Two knowledgeable heads are better than one and I'm at a place where I need someone else to do the thinking for me, as I think so much for so many others these days! I will share what I'm doing and eating along the way and keep you posted mostly via my stories (you can see all that I eat today and how I'm changing things!) .... Today, so far, I'm already feeling better 🙌

Kind of obsessed with this vegan BLT from @trumpetblossom—tempeh, coconut bacon, aioli, housemade wheat bread...👌🏼
Tried a new protein pancake recipe today that I meal prepped last night! 🍇
I made a whole bunch so I could freeze and them and then just heat them up in the toaster for buzzy mornings.
I then added some light low sugar syrup and some freshly washed red grapes for some extra sweetness. ☺️
I made these pancakes with milk and just the box mix and they were about 10g of protein combined. I think next time I will make them a little thinner and try adding some egg white for a fluffier pancake with even more protein 💪🏽

Final meal: beetroot and bulgar salad with roasted veg, red onion in a garlic & dill dressing.
UPDATE: being vegan in Greece: - I have been staying in Crete, Chania and have found less difficulty in veganism than originally predicted. I found oat, soya, almond & coconut milk even in the smallest of supermarkets. Most restaurants are happy to do traditional Greek dishes minus the cheese. Fasolakia is originally vegan anyway! I would say try and stay somewhere with some basic cooking facilities so it is easier to work with veg / grains / salads / pastas etc.
Be sure to visit Tostatchi in Chania if u can.
One thing that made me sad: not enough hummus! However tahini is everywhere 😜😜😜

Presenting our SOD Plus supplement! 🙌🌿🔅 Superoxide Dismutase (or SOD), is an enzyme our bodies produce to minimise the damage caused by the superoxide free radical 💪💥
We have formulated SOD Plus to help support the body in transforming this dangerous free radical into neutral molecules that are not harmful to cells! 🎉
Our supplement also contains the minerals #manganese, #zinc & #copper, which contribute to the protection of cells from this oxidative stress and act as precursors to the SOD variations 💫
G&G only use vegetable cellulose capsules which are designed to specifically break down naturally within the acid of your stomach. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and is also #nongmo, #glutenfree, #kosher#soyfree and #sugarfree ☺️🌱

Just a semi sad looking veggie bowl for lunch. Organic spring mix and micro greens, roasted sweets, paranip, and Brussels, sautéed onion, mushroom, and cauliflower, toasted pine nuts, hemp seeds, cherry tomatoes, and some @traderjoesvegan green goddess.
Tastes (surprisingly) delicious.
Its lunch time somwhere 😁🌍🌽

None of these ways of eating will work for every single person 👉🏼 you have to find what works for you! 🙌🏼
Each of these diets can be considered a fad in that someone at some point tried it because they read about it in a magazine or heard about it from a friend or family member who was having great results 👍🏼
Now please don’t get me wrong 🙅🏽♀️ I am not putting down or making fun of any of these ways of eating AT ALL. So if something on this list is working for you, that’s fantastic!! Keep doing it 💪🏼
What I AM saying is that if something on this list doesn’t work for you, it’s not because there’s something wrong with you. It’s because the DIET is not right for you 🙏🏼
If you really like potatoes, probably don’t try keto. If you really enjoy rice or chickpeas or dairy (and you’re not lactose intolerant), then Paleo isn’t a great option. And if you have a history of eating disorders then I definitely wouldn’t try the Whole30 program no matter how amazing you might feel after it’s over 🙃
After trying to eat a certain way for many years I can say from experience that any way of eating that restricts foods you like isn’t the right way of eating for *you* 👉🏼 in order for a diet (what you eat) to be sustainable you need to LIKE what you eat. If you don’t like what you eat, you’re not going to be able to eat that way for very long. And if even if you do reach your goals on it, it’s going to be kinda hard to maintain the results if you go right back to eating how you used to eat before 🤷🏽♀️
Basic Oatmeal Recipe
Hey vegan food friends👋🏻💕 just wanted to share with you my everyday #oatmeal recipe because I get so many messages from you guys about this☺️
• 1 cup (=80g) of rolled oats • 1 tbsp chia seeds
• 2 cups of water
And that’s it ☺️ Of course don’t forget to top your oatmeal with some fruits, nuts, nutbutter and cinnamon😍
How many grams of do you usually use?😋 .
• 80g kernige Haferflocken • 1 EL Chiasamen • 2 Tassen (~500ml) Wasser

Pasta, veggies and roasted tofu, oh my😍. I boiled some @eatbanza, steamed brussels sprouts and zucchini and cut up some pre made @jennystofu 💯.
toasting to a beautiful (but really damn hot) day ☀️ and the fact i’m seeing @liampayne again tomorrow - so pumped to give him the biggest hug and thank him again ☺️ so grateful for the friends i’ve made from in that community, as well as this one 👯♀️ some incredible ladies and i can’t wait to see them all again tomorrow!.
as much as i’ve loved every single moment of the concerts from the past week, i’m looking forward to some much needed “me” time this week because i can feel the burnout coming 😅 for now, you can catch me anxiously counting down the next 24 hours until i’m in nyc and trying to remember everything i need to pack 🙈 but mostly, you can find me with the biggest smile on my face because i am so damn grateful for these moments and opportunities, for getting the chance to meet or see someone that changed my life 🙏🏼✨ it’s been a crazy but worth it week, and i’m ready for the next two days and all that it has in store 🤸🏻♀️ happy tuesday friends #fitstrongshann.
@foodforlifebaking sesame ezekiel toast topped with @kerrygoldusa butter, avocado 🥑, ebtb seasoning and an egg 🍳
Healthy, vegan lunch of today: 10-minute buddha bowl
👨🏻🍳Cooked whole grain pasta/or any whole grain you like (@vegandogkiwi also got some for her dinner. She loves pasta/who doesn’t?)
✅Stewed in a pan without oil but with plain tomato sauce & water:
1 sweet potato
1 red onion
1 block of tofu
4 big tomatoes
✅Plus dried herbs, spices and half a lemon freshly squeezed over it. Pro tip: add the spices in the middle of the stewing so the flavor distributes evenly. -
🥒I also added cucumber slices and canned corn as another whole grain and extra flavor (I love corn! Check out my recent post @vegainstrength about corn). 🌽
💚One portion for me and one for @scorpionmind which she couldn’t finish so I helped her out 😋💪🏼
