I was trying to teach these children all about life, but they taught me what life is all about ❤️ There is joy and wonder everywhere when you see the world through the eyes of a child ☺️ Be happy, you don’t need a reason! Be curious, learn something new every day. Fight tirelessly for what you want, eventually you will have it 🙌

💭Life is gonna chew you up... spit you out when it’s done. It’s gonna challenge you... try your patience... test your strength against adversity. And you?? You’ve got work to do. You’ve gotta persevere. Dare to be brave and keep going. Keep your hope and positivity and a little stubbornness. Because life is gonna do other things too. It’s gonna bring you joy and unexpected surprises. It’s gonna grow you and escalate you to a higher level. It’s gonna bring people in to your life that will amaze you and extend the depth of your heart. It’s gonna elevate you to places you never thought you’d go. So this is it. Right now. It’s the time to raise the bar. To push the envelope. To overcome in anticipation of all those good things life has coming too. Let’s do it. Ready?? GO. ~ the insomniac #writer#strength#selfreflection#perserverance#life#lifequotes#wisdomquotes#positivevibes#positivity#positivequotes#positivethinking#writersofinstagram#writerscommunity

Its been a while since i have spoken about mental health and to be honest with you i’ve been avoiding it. I just didn’t want to bring negativity to this page but initially this page was to talk about my health (both physically and mentally) and the journey which i was going embark to improve it.
The physical results I’ve resulted this year in an achievement for me. Then i ask myself has my mental health improved while i have been on this journey? -
The brutal honest answer is no, i stay struggling. The gym has been keeping me busy and keeping me sane. -
Sometimes, i guess it just feels like the pain won’t go away and i’m just in this vicious cycle of being toxic to myself and others and then disappearing and then back on this crazy positive vibes. Its so draining, i hate it. Ill still fighting, i can’t quit. -
I just pray to be content in life. I pray others that struggle find happiness in their hearts too. For me personally coming from an Pakistani Muslim male this is tough to talk about, i know people judge and talk. I just don’t care no more. My heart is in the right place. Its time to transform my mind aswell as my body.
I’m from a family of three boys – poor Mama. My Dad works in medical device reprocessing (MDR) at Jim Pattison Outpatient Care and Surgery Centre. He gave me guidance, so when I graduated Fleetwood Park in 2011 I went into MDR at St. Paul’s and Mount St. Joseph Hospitals. I don’t interact with patients, but I still get the feeling of doing something good.
We’re the right hand of the Operating Room. We disinfect all surgical instruments, sterilize and organize them. It’s crucial to do it right or it can cause infections. I worked in a hospital in Australia before I joined Peace Arch in 2018. Everyone helps each other: I have amazing co-workers and in a small hospital, everyone’s personally connected.
I train in jujitsu and parallel that to my life: you can’t learn everything, it’s just a matter of growing. It’s not just physical: it’s a mind game, like chess. I like charcoal drawing and cooking Italian with my girlfriend – she’s a chef; I wanted to be one as a kid – it’s our passion. I recently lost my uncle and a co-worker: it reminds me to live to the fullest because you never know. -Josh Santiaguel, medical device reprocessing technician, Peace Arch Hospital

✨ “It’s your outlook on life that counts. If you take yourself lightly and don’t take yourself too seriously, do right by others, pretty soon you can find the humour in your everyday. And sometimes it can be a lifesaver” ~ unknown #shinebright

Someone suggested I talk about things that make me happy, so here I go: I enjoy flowers a lot. They are so beautiful and grow despite the storms. I love my best friend and boyfriend. They’ve stuck by my side thru it all. My dog makes me very happy. He’s very attached to me and I love it. My little sister brings me a lot of joy. I adore the rain; how calming it is despite it’s anger. I revel in the thought of traveling the world. I’m excited for my trip to Australia. I’ll stop here to keep from making it too long. #positivevibes#recovery#positivequotes#happy#flowers
So often we hold on to people out of fear. Fear of loneliness, fear of the unknown, fear of not finding someone else.
But, as we hold on to those people, we simultaneously lower our standards. Make excuses for the way they behave, make excuses for the things they do (and don’t do). Make excuse for why we accept who they are.
However, we have to accept that what isn’t meant for us will never magically become ours (just because we think we want it). It might momentarily be ours but, the challenge of keeping it will continue to grow and grow because it simply isn’t meant for us.
So, if this makes you say “wow, this is me!!”, I challenge you to let it go. Let that person go. Whether it be a relationship or a friendship. Let it go!! Close the door to what no longer serves you and open the door to the new blessings that have yet to come.♥️

✔The people whom you spend the most time with you will become like them, it is not just a statement, that is a fact. John Locke said it best; “We are like chameleons, we take our hue and the color of our moral character, from those who are around us.” Who are you becoming? What are you reading? How are you acting on a daily basis? What are you uttering to yourself? And where are you heading with your life if you continue to surround yourself with your current friends?

When you focus on problems you will have more problems. But, when you focus on possibilities you’ll have more opportunities.
