A late evening drink for the giant pumpkin last night. Best time to do it as it minimises the water lost to evaporation - just make sure you don’t get the leaves wet as this can encourage powdery mildew and other disasters. I’ve put a plan together to try to grow it up some netting and along the top of the fence so we’ll have to see how that goes! #giantpumpkin#pumpkinpatch#watering#growyourown
🎃RC Straw Bale Pumpkin Patch Experiment Update🎃
Epsom Salts didn't help the sudden yellowing. More fertilizer and water did. Though they've improved even more with this rain and cooler weather. 🌧 🎃Certain bales are doing better than others, even though they are right next to each other and are the same age. 🤔
The Jackolanterns are the biggest and we've had more Sugar Pumpkins come up. The ground planted pumpkins didn't yellow was much as the bales but they aren't growing as fast.
🍉 The watermelon have been doing good and seem to be low maintenance. They aren't growing as much though, so it will be interesting to see if we get any watermelons.
The experiment continues!🎃
Cut and stamped, time to dry for at least 4 weeks! I think I was a little bit ambitious for my first homemade, cold process soap LOL. But, I always aim high and wanted to truly make something that represented me and my shop. These Black and White Pumpkin Patch bars are scented in pumpkin spice! #pumpkinpatch#halloween#coldprocesssoap#soapcrafting#thewitchsbath

Pumpkin Patch Progress: just 12 days since sowing the babies are looking strong 💪 🎃 out of 44 squash 10 are yet to germinate, but I’m not going to give up on them yet. #pumpkinpatch#growyourownfood#wintersquash
The pumpkin plant is growing noticeably each day now - though it’s trying to go in the wrong direction. I’m using bamboo stakes to get it back on track. It sends out little tendrils and grabs onto them for support. #giantpumpkin#pumpkinpatch
