You split the seas so I can walk right through it. You drown my fears in perfect love #bethel /— 📷: @charm.wu

A little blue hour down at Marina Bay Sands.
Back by popular demand, to be honest with you. I get a lot of messages from people asking me to post up some shots of this place.. Scroll down my feed and there are a selection I slapped up a little while ago. But, you know me - a real crowd pleaser. So, here's one more of that famous skateboard hotel for all you persistent folk.

Day 48: We spent our first full day in Singapore exploring all of its major landmarks including the city’s mascot Merlion, the Marina Sands, and Gardens by the Bay (pictured above).
Peranakan Place fronting the intersection of Emerald Hill Road and Orchard Road.
A 4 bed terraced property on Emerald Hill Road could set you back about £5-10m. Bit of a price, that is. Alternatively, you could sleep on the pavement. It's clean enough to lick.
Although, you'd probably be moved along by the Singapore Police Force. Or just deported back home.

What do you do when you’re in Singapore for a hot minute? Eat.
So here we are in Singapore, stopping over, re-acclimatising to the heat, and exploring corners I had never seen on my last trip here (for work, in 2009). Peak: We went to a tea tasting today (see stories for details) on this beautiful street, Emerald Hill, which until the 1860s was a nutmeg plantation. After a bad blight killed the crops it became a fashionable address for the colonial great and the good. It still has an air of splendour, as well as some sketchier bars at the end of the road that suggest that some literary greats might have been pissed in them once. Just my scene.
Pit: we took the MTA at rush hour, and after a big lunch, minor jetlag, and what I can only blame on the surprise of being in a city again, I hesitated boarding the train before @upper79 did, getting my shoulder stuck in the sliding doors, causing exclamations of disbelief from the people in the train, as a very shaken and sheepish me extricated myself and sat down to recover.
Guess I’m not used to big cities anymore! Here I come, London, said the travelling country bumpkin. 👩🏻🌾 #thepeakandpitcollective
Beautiful mural in #hollandvillagesg .
Meanwhile, Josh and I are trying to love a stray neighborhood cat who eagerly accepts our cat food but hisses when we look at him. It's a work in progress I'd say.
