Got my first 10 mile run under my belt in preparation for my tough mudder in August. It’s starting to get scarily close now I’m glad I’m in the double figures with my running with 8 weeks to go only need to push another 2 Miles. My goal for this run was 2 hours 15 mins and I completed it in 2 hours 10! Super happy with today’s effort.
This morning’s run was the longest I’ve done since my injury almost two years ago. I am so, so grateful to be on my feet. Moving. The reward: pelicans and that big red flower I can’t remember the name of.

Well then... 😯 My first run since last weekend's marathon. I planned to go easy and focus on some mechanics to see how it felt. A little tweak to my hand position, and light, even ground contact. Guess I'm ready to go again...🤷🏻♂️

“This isn’t how your story ends.” Long run with a new accessory. Annoying that this is necessary. As I made my way down 104, one of my frequent stomping grounds, I thought about the woman who was assaulted here last weekend. I myself had been running on this busy road just the morning before. I’m pretty sure she and I crossed paths today. I gave her the peace sign and she waved and smiled at me. It made me happy to know that what happened to her isn’t deterring her from getting back out there. Talk about inspiring.
Feeling great after a few days escape to London 😌 A lot of miles walked, some cycled and quite a few ran of course.
So what does #soundmindsoundbody mean to me?
Sometimes you just need a little break. A little trip can do, it doesn’t need to be on foreign ground or miles and miles away. Just finding the time to explore somewhere new and take the mind elsewhere from everyday stresses!
For me, this is what helps stay motivated! There’s some many places outside to explore, keeping active is what creates a sound mind and body🚶🏼♂️🏃🏽♂️ #imoveme#asicsfrontrunner
