Two things I’m currently really excited about:
1) I “graduated” from Physical Therapy this week and am cleared to add plyometrics to my workouts. YAYYYYYY!!!! Taking the time to regain my pelvic floor & core strength and heal my tailbone has been tough mentally, but so so worth it! This doesn’t mean I’m 💯 yet and ready to lift all the things and jump all the jumps, but I’m so happy to be heading in that direction after being so limited for so long.
2) I’m starting a “return to running” program today! Since my workouts now (mostly) involve my little Bear cub and we’ve been loving our stroller walks, I thought I’d add a little spice to the mix a few times a week!
I’m not aiming to be a #runner or participate in any marathons anytime soon. I’m just here for fun 🏃♀️ .

I haven't done the 100 days of gratitude, but I'm very appreciative of all that I have. I love the people who are in my life and I love myself and the amazing life that I try to never take for granted. I revel in the fact that my body allows me to run in the rain, splash in puddles, like a child, and get dressed up and look pretty (like a pretty girl who swears like a sailor.) Have a great weekend, everyone!

On our way to the lake today I came across a quote that really resonated with me. It said “Consistency drives motivation and motivation drives consistency. Everything you want begins and ends with consistency.
Consistency is the key people! I see this in my clients regarding their health, fat loss and mindset. I’ve seen this in myself. Goals are only truly achieved through daily consistent behaviors. The easy part of any goal whether it’s physical, mental or spiritual is that initial motivation. The toughest part is staying consistent through the times where the drive is fading or motivation is lacking. I usually tell my clients (and myself) when this happens to walk through the way you feel when you are achieving. And sometimes having something new to breath fresh air into a goal. Ex. A New workout plan, changing macros slightly, a fun new motivating podcast, some new recipes or a daily practice that keeps you focused. So what are some ways you’ve been successful on being consistent with a goal?

Let me introduce you to what we call the PAIN FACE. This is what I *really* look like when running. This is the face you make when your quads are on fire, your lungs forget how to breathe, and you are internally cussing the sunshine.

Yay! Today I did my first long run since (what feels like) forever! I’m starting to feel that I’m back for real! This feeling I have inside is exactly why I keep doing this 💙 (📷: @josefineswarm) Follow @RunningFervor for more.

✨If there is something I have learned in this journey is that everything that happens, whether it is good or bad, holds a blessing within. The goal is to find it.✨ By @valeria.xim
