You were given this life because you are strong enough to live it. 🏃🏼♀️💪🏼💙
Back in the place where I have always found the most peace.
It feels good to be home and to breathe the mountain air, to find so much serenity in the outdoors.
To feel whole. To feel strong.
To truly feel at peace with where my life is.
It's easy to give up, to let fear take hold. But, as a wise boy once said, you are braver than you believe and stronger than you seem.
You just have to remember there is so much strength inside of you, and have the courage to find it ☀️
Believe in yourself more than anyone.
Life, inevitably, finds a way 🙂
I wish I knew when the left picture was from, but you can see my surgery scars. Right is from today, and most of my scars (stretch marks included) have significantly faded! No, I didn’t use anything on them because I don’t really care. I think scars are cool 🤷🏽♀️. Down a total of 135lbs since September 2015. No, I have had plastic surgery. #transformationtuesday
Tuesday Speed Workout DONE!! I absolutely love short speed workouts! By short I mean 1/4 mile repeats. Today’s workout was a 2 mile warm up at a 8’34” pace, followed by 8 x 1/4 miles at a 6’15” pace with 90 seconds of rest in between. All followed by a 2 mile cool down at an 8” pace. This workout always goes by so quickly yet I feel so accomplished by the times it’s done. I hope everyone gets to do something that makes you feel accomplished today!! And yes - putting on pants counts as accomplishing 🙃
Been a bit of a self care day today - hence the gin and pizza! I’ve been really running on empty and this morning, when the baby woke up at 5:30 I decided to put him down for his nap early and sat my toddler in front of paw patrol on the iPad in bed with me whilst I snoozed for over an hour! Not the best parenting I’ll grant you, but I really needed the rest and she thought it was awesome! 😂
August is not quite shaping up to be the “return to running” month I had hoped it would but I’m trying not to stress about it and just go with what feels right. My body will not thank me for pushing myself to illness or injury, and nor will my mind.
Happy Tuesday all!! 🍸

FLOW PEACEFULLY INTO GOOD HABITS. 🤸🏻♂️🏃🏼♀️🕉 “Tasya prashanta vahita samskarat. (The mind’s peaceful flow occurs due to habits).” Patanjali Yoga Sutra 3.10. “There are tools to steady behavior (such as the time of day I set aside for my practice), the body (the cultivation of asanas that balance physical strengths + limitations), and mind (using techniques of meditation that make this possible rather than daunting!). You can target each of these areas directly, and sometimes that is best, though for many of us, addressing one will open up an access point to another, whether expectedly or unexpectedly. A mind that feels out of your control may be soothed with physical exertion or relaxation, after which you might then be able to make use of more ‘direct’ tools to continue quelling noisy thoughts. Someone without grace and prowess in the body may discover a willingness to move, to take on a physical practice through the right words, perhaps psychological ‘trickery,’ perhaps philosophical analogy, perhaps a linking between body and behavior that intrigues him/her. A pattern of behavior that is hard to change, may be dissolved by making a new pattern into a game of mental or physical engagement that pulls your focus each time, and eventually replaces the old behavior. Yoga, the philosophy, invites you to observe clarity (viveka) by building samskaras of mental restraint – but how you get there is part of your unique story. We all have samskaras (impressions) in our behaviors, body, and mind. Some serve our happiness and some don’t. The tools of yoga help illuminate which are which. Once that begins to sort itself out, you can move towards samadhi (pure consciousness) by building samskaras (impressions) that create quiet (there will always be choice and hard work involved, it just may not be where you expect it). Everyday, any day, you can take the steps to set yourself up for the peace of mind and sense of self that is very truly within you.” -yoga216- #run#runner#runners#running#runhappy#runnergirl#runchat#runforlife#runnerscommunity#runtastic#runforfun#runnershigh#runnerslife#runninggirl#runitfast#runnerspace#runbabyrun#runfast

Tb Challenging myself with these one leg squats in lovely south Africa 🇿🇦 😍 (For those who haven’t tried these, do it) 😉 By @khaddisagnia
This year continues to push me in all the wrong ways, my body continues to bend and break and work against me, and honestly after one hell of a panic attack last night my brain is not far behind... But i get up and i try again because of this! And as cheesy as it sounds every single second I am able to do this, here, is a gift. A huge fricken gift. Being able to run is no longer a given.
Thank you for the slowed down miles for my broken body ladies and a special guest appearance from @619ballard
🇬🇧Even if I run just 3 marathons, I undestand how important is concentration and mental energy, especially when, from the 36 Kilometer, I start to have negative feelings👾👻👹!
I take advantage of these days of forced rest to do yoga, that unfortunately I haven't practiced since some time, in the hope it can help me to defeat my 36k's demons... 💪🏻
Calories mean everything when it comes to reducing body fat.
What ever people say they don't it's a lie and what they preach it's bullshit!
But... That doesn't mean we have to count them consistently to get results!
Bit ironic me saying this but there is a method behind this!
If we are careful with our food choices this can go a long way!
Foods that generally prevent hunger craving hormones!
Grenelin the hunger hormone!
Want to avoid this?
Be smart with your food choices!
Look at increasing fibre and protein go a long way increasing satiety levels boosting our moods so where not hungry all day biting someone's head off.
Does this sound familure?
You keep takeing foods away and always end up crashing and whenever your on a diet you can't wait to finish? There is another way!
I help people just like you get results fast still being able to enjoy what you eat foods are planned and your coached on the best way to get results so your happier with the way you look and feel!
Want to learn more on calories?
Run to get lean challange starting 3rd September click bio to secure your place.
Muscle imbalance can occur whilst running and it's important to fix this to help with injury and performance.
1- look at exercises that aim to get you on one foot.
Check for performance and assess areas and find out which leg needs more work.
Exercise like one legged squat, spilt squats, pistol squats, are just some of the movements we can use.
2. Work on posterior chain usually runners will tend to be more quad dominant.
Look at exercises that work your gluteals and hamstrings..
#toughmudder2018 was a success!!!! After the first half I felt so tired and my feet hurt so bad. Met some awesome running buddies along the way. So happy to have the support to the support. Will be returning next year.
Me gustaría volver aquí 👉🏼 🏝 y estar tumbada toooooodo el día en estas arenas blancas y con vistas a las aguas turquesas😍

GET UP AND GET OUT • dagen efter vilodag. Vaknat tidigt druckit kaffe, mjukar upp en stund på yogamattan. Benen känns lite stela och huvudet längtar ut. Har du känt efter? Hur mår du och din kropp idag?
Om en stund blir det morgonlöpning. By @runsannarun
