“It all begins and ends in your mind. What you give power to have power over you if you allow it.” Keeping that healthy mindset on Monday to start out the week. Day 8/82 of half marathon training consisted of teaching 45 min spinning and a 3 mile run. I love teaching spinning so much, as the people in the class always fuel me up in so great many ways. I took that energy and brought it into my run and kept that mind as present as possible. I hope you all had a good day, and remember as above “it begins and ends in your mind”. May you fall asleep to healthy and life giving thoughts. 💛💚💙
Happy Monday! It’s race week and I’m just continuing to bank some taper miles! 😀 I’ll be running my 10th Marathon on Sunday and the nerves are always there as if it were my first. I’m trying to think all HAPPY and POSITIVE thoughts. ✨
Running: are you Team 👍🏻 or 👎🏻?? I love zoning out on the treadmill with a magazine so that’s just what I did today. 🏃🏼♀️ Starting tomorrow, I’ll be reuniting with my loops and sliders! 💪🏻🔥 #NeverMissAMonday

Race Run down...
I finally had some time to digest & reflect on what went down on Saturday.
I started to freak out on Friday night because I didn’t feel like I packed the appropriate clothes for the weather. It kept changing so we ran to the mall after dinner to get another layer. Which in turn pushed back our bed time. After a not so great night sleep the alarm went off at 4:15 & race day was in full swing! I went outside only to find worst conditions than anticipated! It was cloudy with 20-30mph winds! Again feeling unprepared! But at this point it was what is was! We got dressed & got to Fargo Dome an hour before race thinking it would be enough time to get our last minute preparations in...yeah not so much. Bathroom lines, lines to get down to stadium floor & bag check lines were awful! Making me even more anxious! After the national anthem played Kimberlie & I had to push our way through the crowds of people to try to get closer to start! We had already lost Amber! By the time we got to the 3:40 pace group the gun went off & it was go time. Ready or not!! It was so surreal crossing the start line. And then the moment I came shooting of the the stadium the wind hit me like a ton of bricks...I quickly realized I left my sunglasses in my bag! My eyes were watering & I was cold! I thought to myself this is going to be one long ride!! My game plan was to start off slow in the low 8’s for the first half...my watch was beeping my pace was way to fast! People were passing me & my adrenaline out of control! I had to tell myself stick to your plan, slow down & let people pass you! This is your race no one else’s! It worked!! I settled into a pretty good rhythm & before I knew it I was at the halfway point feeling strong ready to start pushing my pace! But the wind didn’t really care about my plan it started rearing it’s ugly head! I picked up the pace when I could only for the wind to push me back! Not so fun game of tug of war with the wind! Mile 13-18 was just trying to hold onto a low 8 still. Mile 19 came & I was in uncharted waters at this point. (Continue reading in my comments)

It’s a beautiful day for our last Ottawa run (at least for this trip). I’m constantly (pleasantly) surprised by how clean the air feels here!
TRUTH- 8 months ago I couldn’t do a push up. No joke, not even on my knees. I could easily put away 13.1 miles but had NO strength to back that. I was pretty much a cardio junkie. Enter @rebelfitness_ct . Not only did I test my limits I learned about strength, perseverance, and gained one hell of family. I feel a difference on my runs and actually feel STRONG. Thankful for the coaches who push me despite my morning attitude ( 🤷🏻♀️) and the squad that I call my own. #100percentrebel 📸: @bryanmacphotography
Th Governor’s Cup Half Marathon 2018 last weekend. Hilly-er and muggy-er than I expected, but still a great experience. I’m very proud I was able to PR on such a tough coarse. I’m excited for my next race now!
You can always plan so much but it's always the people who will make an event, a workout, a run, and a day....AWESOME.
We cant thank everyone enough for rockin' and running with us and are already planning the next one! Stay tuned for more info. 🙈
More photos to come soon. Thank you for these @emh_raw - we love them!
