Thoughts for Thursday: Just finish. Sometimes I have elaborate goals for workouts and hit a wall in the middle of it. Cement legs. But if I commit to finishing the workout, I know that is the part of the workout where I am getting better. Moral of story - Just finish and come back stronger the next time.

Today was a medium day. Five-mile #jog followed by 8x 200m #strides .🏃
Just look at that #HeartRate in tune with the effort!💓 A healthy, #welltrained#heartmuscle can engage⤴ when needed to suddenly circulate large volumes of life🍷 through your body.
A #strongheart then recovers⤵ almost instantly.
My heart recovered from 169 ↘ 120 in :47 seconds. And that's a walking recovery!
This is the result of my specific #HeartRateTraining . I wrote the program that I'm testing, and I am evidence that it works.

The last tapering run before we set off to France for the AMT 2018!
Although today’s 9k 3rd's progression run went pretty solid both pace and heart rate wise, I couldn’t concentrate very well and caught myself thinking about the upcoming challenge uncountable times.
At the moment excitement is taking over and my head is spinning all around this monster of a race which is just four sleeps away …
Ready for the departure to France. 🇫🇷 The AMT 2018 is waiting!
Due to a massive temperature drop on race day I'll have to carry a lot more equipment than I'd originally planned. The race start will start at five o'clock in the morning and the current forecast predicts pretty fresh 6 degrees!
The aid stations at the AMT will also only offer 'light solid food' so I'll have to carry all gels, energy bars and carb/salt drinks by myself - and that's a lot for a 93k race covering 4.800 meters of elevation and a minimum running time of 16 hours.
My backpack and the other equipment will weigh almost 6 kilograms and I'm really happy about every core and upper body workout I did in the past months!
