Welcome back to Florida!
Real talk y’all... This heat hit me today after returning from Utah. Thankful I had my aminowise ready 👍🏻! Aminowise helps with fatigue and enhances muscle recovery during and after exercise. It is formulated to support hydration by replenishing important minerals lost during exercise. Rachel and I are blessed to have this product to help support our running journey 🏃🏻!

Okay, so a couple of things that have certainly not seen any transformation include my nobbly knees and my race face of utter pain and horror 😱😂
But I can see the positive changes in my running form.... Yes, with each pic came a better time but those better times have been helped by gradually learning to run more efficiently, self belief, and really learning to enjoy my running for running (contrary to what these faces ⬆️ might suggest 😳) and just enjoying any peaks (and troughs) in progress as they come..... all things that have taken, and are still taking, time.
I’m not taking anything away from the first two photos as I worked hard in those runs and was as happy at the finish line of those as I was last week, but for the first time, although I know there’s still plenty of improvement to be made, I’ve seen a race photo and can see how my posture and form has improved over recent months and thought ‘I actually look strong AND determined’ not just ‘I look knackered BUT determined’. 🏃🏻♀️🏃🏻♀️.
PS... there are photos of me looking like I’m actually enjoying myself when I’m running, but these were just too special not to share.... 🙈😂

. 🇬🇧🌟Sometimes it's just about getting out and get moving.🌟
It's getting really warm over here and my body is asking for vacation but my brain needs to get moving so here's the solution. Easy shake out run with a nice podcast to listen to. @goaldiggerpodcast was the one with @jennakutcher interviewing @nataliefugere .
It's taper time as this weekend i will run with the crazy @everic_run . .
Also totally digging @thisgirlcanrunfar jumping skills for the @xeroshoes - challenge make a X- that I am very curious to test out. Do you know that in Asia running barefoot is a big thing? I used to run barefoot EVERY TIME with my buddies there. There isn't shattered glass in the Parks there. A respect for public space that we all should have here too. .
If you are looking to trying running barefoot I would recommend to start progressively (trust me I went through the learning curve aka blisters and bloody soles) you can first introduce minimal shoes into your running routine and then build up.

Morning run #2...success! I ran about the same pace as yesterday which I am totally happy with (3 miles in 30:08). I got my tush out of bed at 5am two days in a row - how can I not be happy!? And yes, I’m wearing the same shirt that I wore yesterday 😜

One week of a run streak ✅.
I found shorts that didn’t ride up while I run! Its so much cooler in this heat to run in shorts..
I woke up extra early to shave 20 degrees off of the temperature for my run. It’s worth it and my workout is done for the day. I’m feeling stronger and slowly but surely, my pace is improving and I’m becoming more comfortable running..
Day 384 of my fitness Streak.
Day 7 of my runstreak.
Look back Tuesday. So add a couple of years, a load of parkruns, a dozen half marathons and a half dozen ultras, deduct the beer (and all the pies) and you get somewhere like this. Guess you have to know where you’ve been to know where your going ........................................................................
2015 85kg 26.4% b.fat. 5km 34:00 HM Foff!
2018 63kg 15.7% b.fat. 5km 23:30 HM 1:55
I miss running along having this much fun during a casual 27/28 minute parkrun. Now I can’t breathe at 30 🙁
I have been amazed how quickly I’ve lost the ability to run, but I will come back from this injury stronger 👍🏼
My first morning run EVER! I set my alarm for 5am, put on my running clothes before I could talk myself out of it, took a quick espresso shot, and hit the road! It was sprinkling slightly but it was kind of refreshing and totally distracted me from the fact that I was running at 5am. I did 3 miles in 30:35 and I feel physically and mentally energized! I can already tell that this is going to be an AMAZING day! ✨💕
