✔ Fraser Island, Queensland .
We did our first ever trip to Fraser Island in January 2017 and it's definitely on the list of places to visit again!! With a fair bit of research and a few discussions with mates over beers, we ended up with endless hints and tips and a list of awesome things to see that we might not have otherwise - the wealth of travelled people is priceless! And ohhh the West side of the island is just amazing!! We also found a free app that gave us a map of the island without needing reception and a few extra tracks that weren't very well traveled. A few days were spent just the two of us track hopping with no one else around..
Not everything went to plan on this trip though, we nearly lost our UHF aerial after it came loose on the first day, we DID lose a number plate and had to go wading through a water crossing to find it and then once off the island and on the way back home, we did an alternator about 3 minutes from one of the towns. Luckily one of us is a diesel mechanic and Repco came to our rescue with the part and let us borrow tools to change it in their carpark.. we weren't overly impressed at the time but we can laugh about it now!! 😂
Never forget the 'downs' are all part of the adventure too..!
🙌 Hands up if you wish you were kicking back at golden hour 🌞 on the dunes of Sandy Cape ➡️ the most northern tip of @visitfraserisland!
