Saturday nights in Summer used to consist of working a grueling 6-7 hour shift waiting tables to hopefully nice people but more often than not tourists who could care less about your #feelings and after treating you like a garbage person there to serve them (which was technically correct 🤷♀️) they didn't even tip very well 💸 I would still come home making pretty decent money but it was soul sucking 🧛♀️ and I was killing bottles every single night after a shift to deal with the stress of it all ☠️ -
Time off? Forget about it, not even on the radar on a #weekend night in the summer. Or a weeknight. Basically I worked my 6 shifts per week and lived for my #onedayoff. I only made it through that because I had to, it was all I knew and I didn't realize there were other options out there that wouldn't be such a drain of my energy both physically and mentally ⚡
Now #Saturdays are looking much sweeter, I laid out in the sun today while I checked in with my team and my girls who are #KILLINGit one week into our new program and I chatted with ladies who have similar dreams of breaking free from their service industry jobs and doing something for themselves instead.
