This carp, along with many others, was actively chasing a school of shiners even going airborne chasing the busting baitfish. A few casts into the fray quickly stripping a small streamer and I was hooked up. I swear carp can adapt to feed on anything they can fit in their mouths.
You're seeing it here first and I'm putting my patent on it now (😉): just tied up a few cinder worm mop flies (a.k.a. Cinder Mops) just in case they decide to show up again tonight and distract the Stripers.
Wanted to send a heartfelt thank you to @capt_scottmaccalla for an awesome trip this past week. He put us on some beautiful fish and went above and beyond to make our experience epic! Anyone interested in fishing Indian River Lagoon or Mosquito Lagoon look him up! You won’t be disappointed! Contact info in the comments.
