“Ih kok dia jalan-jalan terus...” / “Dia kok kalau ngerekam super zoom sama boomerang bagus ya nggak kayak aku, cupu.” Hahahaha (it was me guys, akulah yang sering bergumam seperti itu) 😭🤣
So this is it! My very first coloring page, a special present from me to you. Insya Allah akan ada tiap minggu di Hari Selasa dalam rangka #artuesday . Semoga suka ya! (and you can request a theme too, just type it down below!) 😉
I’m very proud of this drawing. Colour is something hard for me. I’ve been drawing since I was 2 but as we could only afford the cheapest supplies, my crayons were the least pigmented in the world. That made my little perfectionist-frustration-intolerant young self give up on colour. Pencils were not misleading 😌 That got exacerbated at high school, when I saw this girl that also liked to draw (like me) and her colours where so bright and pigmented. I saw her pressing down really hard on the paper and I thought my way of colouring in layers was wrong. I thought it was my fault so I got dedicated to monochromatic pictures and digital colouring. I was so frustrated about my traditional art supplies that I only used bright saturated colours on my digital drawing (and they looked so ugly) but I was proud. But I took these #skillshare lessons about colour and I think they were very useful! #art#digitalart#procreate#ipadpro#artist#owl#fantasy#fantasycolor#mountains#flying#bird#lake
Even though it's school break my man's been hard at work at Windang Public school. The seating circles he builds are so nice I'm thinking we should build one at the new house down south. Lovely work @dig_the_beet! 💋👨🌾👨🏼🎤
Copy to LEARN not to EARN!!!
I had the most wonderful and uplifting call with @bonniechristine on Friday talking about where I'd like to take my Surface Patterns and paintings. She has so much experience and is a gentle yet focused guide.
One of her observations is that I should share my work with you all more - I struggle so much with this because I see so many talented designers have their work copied by larger brands and it's soul destroying.
Yet as Bonnie pointed out, there's nothing new under the sun, so I promise to share more :)
Thought I'd start with the painting I did of Jimi Hendrix a few years back, a direct copy of the Barrie Wentzell photo taken in the late 1960s just before he appeared on Lulu's show. ➡️➡️➡️ For progress pics. ▫️
I chose this because I wanted to learn more about colour and light and shade. And because Jimi had the most fantastic colourful, patterned style, it looked so good on him! I'd never sell it or use it for an end product, it's not mine to do so with. But he sits there in my sketch book, smiling off the page at me.
Sure there are many things I'd change, add more contrast between the hues and maybe I'll go back and paint it again one day, but I learned so much about layering and mixing colour.
I also learned that it pays to get the best quality artist paints you can afford, this was done using student grade paints and whilst great to learn with, the result looks flat and lacks vibrancy.
So copy to learn and understand, not to earn.
If you haven't already head over to @skillshare and book your 1:1 with Bonnie too, she's got so much to share! ♥
If you’ve watched my stories recently you’ll know I’m trying to re-discover my creative side. I’ve been using @skillshare to practice my drawing skills and I found these amazing classes by @yasminacreates I’m so happy with the results.
I think Skillshare is an amazing platform for a very small monthly charge you can access thousands of classes and learn how to do so many things from drawing to photoshop to social media management.
All of the classes are taught by individuals who can upload their videos to the platform to create a class, you can then follow them to be notified of any new classes they add and rate their lessons.
The thing I struggle with is making time to watch them but you can download the classes and watch them at a later time maybe on the bus or train.
I think the way it works is that all of the teachers are paid a small fee when people download their classes.
It’s such a clever platform and my favourite resource for learning.
Next I have a map class I want t take as I love maps and would love to create my own. Excited! Is there a skill you would love to learn?
I hope everyone is still going strong mid way through this year!
If not, no worries!
THIS is the time to refocus and HIT RESET! (Remember my first class??) While I have had my share of obstacles and being set back or thrown off course,
I do enjoy taking those moments as opportunities to:
* CLEAN my space
* CLEAR my mind
* BUDGET AND PLAN my TIME!!
* GET MY LIFE TOGETHER - ish lol
I have been obsessing over time management for YEARS now and have grown to love the concept of budgeting my time because it has tremendously helped me in the category of productivity! When you take the time to plan your time it adds that extra touch of care and dedication to wanting to do specific things with your time that you deem valuable OF your time!
GOOGLE CALENDAR seems as if it is intentionally set up to MAKE you WANT to figure out exactly what it is you are doing with YOUR LIFE - - the large BLOCKS of free time you have on a daily basis☺️🙂
We all have to remember that it is the little things that we do on a daily basis that contribute to the bigger picture!
Eat that elephant one bite at a time!
LOOK OUT FOR MY NEW COURSE COMING THIS MONTH!
I will teach you how I block off chunks of time in my extra busy little schedule to get stuff done! * Call out the ones you know (or yourself) GUILTY of being HORRIBLE at budgeting and organizing their time??
Its okay! Ive never lived this life before either! We can learn ☺️🌍 [link is my introduction at the top👆] #skillshare#dashbarks#budgeting#time#google#googlecalendar#apple#inotes#iteach#editing#learn#grow#organize#schedule#productivity#lifestyle#lifestylecourses#lifestylecourseinstructor#course

Facial massages increase circulation to facial tissue, resulting in brighter, youthful-looking skin. Facial massages can also help to lift and firm the skin, reducing the appearance of puffiness and wrinkles.
