I post a lot of chicken and veggies on this account 🥗🥗🥗 but I also try to be upfront about the fact that I freaking love cheese and bread and cake and ice cream and WW allows me to still have those things. My coworkers were digging into treats this afternoon and I wanted to as well. Then we went to a pizzeria for dinner cuz my damn chicken still wasn’t thawed. But in fairness to myself, I still consider this as being on track because I tracked everything and stayed within my weeklies (all but one 😂). Last year at this time I was trying to follow IIFYM (which I could not personally stick to) and the entire week before the auction I went NUTS with the stress eating, not tracking, not caring. But I’ve actually paid attention to what I put into my body this week, I’ve gotten my workouts in, and I’ve made sure to balance the junk food with a crap ton of veggies and lean protein. It shows me a LOT about how much I have changed mentally in a year, and I’m proud of that🤗
Being a single mom was never in my plan. Shit, a lot of things were never in my plans 😂 but you know the saying “make plans, God laughs”. Man, He must’ve had a field day when I made mine. Everything was planned out to a flippin tee. But I know He has way bigger and better plans for us because now I have this stud and the chance to give him more than I ever thought I could. We may live with my parents now but my vision for our lives is so much grander and this season in life is only temporary. I KNOW i will build a life that we love all from helping others get healthy and happy. But don’t get it twisted. I am luckier than I deserve with how supportive my family has been during this transition. So, so thankful 🙏🏼 and it is my duty to pay it forward to other moms who have a brighter vision for their families. Road to Regionals Day #11 Today has been a struggle. I didn’t sleep well and my whole body is sore but I still showed up. I still trained, lifted, ran 8 miles and gave it my all. For those of you who don’t know I was in a fairly bad accident several years ago and severely injured my knee. The cartilage is completely gone and I was told at some point I will need a knee replacement. I was also told I would most likely walk with a limp the rest of my life and to kiss running goodbye. Fast forward almost 10 years later and not only am I walking fine, I am running longer and faster than ever before and no longer need a knee replacement. So on days like today when I feel tired and sore and I don’t want to train those are some of my best training days because I feel so motivated to be there, so thankful, so lucky to be training and doing the thing I was told I would never do again. Ive had so many reasons in my life to quit, to give up and yet here I am still standing. Don’t ever let someone tell you what you cant do or that you cant be something. When you’re tired don’t quit! when you’re hungry don’t quit! if you’re struggling in a temporary situation thats less than ideal don’t quit!
