"All the world's a stage,
And all the men and women merely players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time plays many parts,
His acts being seven ages. At first, the infant...."
And that's where we start tomorrow. There will be beautuful British flowers inside Shakespeare's Birthplace to mark the first age...roses, herbs, sweet peas and a little woodbine...
And then to Holy Trinity Church to mark the final stage. There will be photos tomorrow but now I'm off to create something flowery worthy of the bard himself! #britishflowersweek#britishflowersweek2018#worcestershireflorist#shakespearebtrust#shakespeareflowers#stratforduponavon
'New Day' by David Storey. Another of Davids works that left the Gallery today. David's paintings touch on emotions, either remembered or current, in a way that every viewer feels a connection to. This is the first time that David, a Threadneedle Prize finalist and former lecturer at St Martin's has exhibited in Stratford, and the response to his work has been phenomenal. Visitors to the Gallery have been so moved by his work. #davidstorey#art#oiloncanvas#figurativeart#contemporaryart#stratforduponavon
COVENTRY - Day Seven
Coventry —> Stratford-upon-Avon

Distance Walked: 4.5km or 2.8 miles
Best Food: We arrived late morning, so we were starving for some brunch. We tuckered into some cornish pasties & good coffee at @cornishbakery, just down the (cobblestone) road from Shakespeare’s birthplace
Touristy things: We wandered up to Shakespeare’s birthplace and childhood home, took some photos, and decided instead of doing the tour we’d check out the village. It really feels like you have taken a step back into the 16th century - wisened, tudor houses, and cobblestone pathways
More touristy things: After walking through the park and along the river, we caught a canal boat to take in some of the riverside sights
More food: For late lunch we indulged in a lovely set-menu at @no9churchst
Tweetable thought: I grew up by the ocean. I have been craving getting near a beach, but the romantic canals are a great substitute! 🍷🚣♀️🏚

STATFORD UPON AVON
We made it half way through a Shakespeare walking tour...the littles were probably a bit young for it. We ended this beautiful day over lunch with great friends @nickjdrake@beckyruthdrake, a ferris wheel ride, and chats by the river. #stratforduponavon#shakespeare
