🌺When we undertake the practice of yoga, or any spiritual practice, the flame of Tapas needs to burn brightly within us if we are to achieve anything more than a little light exercise. Tapas helps us through the uncomfortable sensations, motivates us to try difficult maneuvers, and also pulls in the reins when we become a bit full of ourselves or risk injuring our body. Without that inner discipline and determination, we’d be unlikely to look at the finer practices of yoga that, through rigorous self-awareness, bring inner peace and open us to greater oneness. 🔥Use that Inner Fire to burn out all that is no longer serving you, to burn unwanted thoughts, negative self-talk, and negative habitual responses that only bring about unnecessary stress and disharmony within 🔥 #centeryourself#agni#tapas#dynamicvinyasa#armbalance#strenght#determination#yoga#meditation#yogapractice#mindfulness#brisbaneyogis#brisbaneyoga#wynnummanly#yogawithcata 💪💖
« Desidero per me e per ogni persona con sclerosi multipla che chi ci sta accanto accetti e non abbia paura della malattia. Se nello sguardo di chi incontro trovo comprensione autentica di ciò che sono, con la mia forza e i miei limiti, potenza e fragilità, tutto cambia».
"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars". This Oscar Wilde quote is one of my favorites. In such a short sentence he was able to summarize what behavioral scientists have now labeled as resilience.
Resilience is a process by which a person adapts to the adversities, tragedies, trauma and significant sources of stress, emerging from them stronger and more resolute than before.
Consciously or unconsciously, our psychic energy flows towards the direction where our attention is focused. If we react negatively to the adversities in our lives, believing that those events are permanent and they affect everything that we do, we literally drain our psychic energy out of ourselves, and despair becomes our commanding emotion.
On the contrary, if we consider those events temporary and specific to a particular situation, our psychic energy goes up, because we take responsibility for our circumstances and give ourselves the chance to get out of the situation in which we are. Consequently, our commanding emotion becomes Hope.
