The first stop takes us away from our SoCal roots but the goal remains the same, the pursuit of the best taco. The journey brought us in the midst of Seattle and the Pike Brewery. While not your conventional Taco, the grilled rockfish tacos were a hit. The grilled Alaskan rockfish was accompanied by the chili lime cream and cabbage slaw whose subtle flavors perfectly complemented one another.
TQ Rating: 8️⃣.5️⃣ - Carnitas 8️⃣ - Carne Asada and Al Pastor. Alright TQ fam, we’re about to tell you about a religious experience we recently had. We hit a new spot in Albany and nothing by the appearance of the truck nor the crowd in line signaled what was to come. We ordered the holy trinity of carnitas, carne asada and al pastor. The al pastor didn’t hit us with that sweet traditional flavor but brought a refreshing level of spice to our taste buds. It didn’t have any of the classic pineapple but it wasn’t missed. The spice did the trick and we liked their rendition. The carne asada meat was pretty good. But here’s why we LOVE tacos and applaud joints that can do this. The combination of the meat, the salsa, the onion, the double tortillas dripping with juice came together and elevated each individual flavor. Each part of that taco was good, but it came together and was REALLY good. As we moved onto the carnitas, just looking at this meat got us eager to take our first bite. As soon as we jumped in and took our first bite, a warm and fuzzy feeling came over us. Maybe it was because the heavens opened up parting the clouds, maybe it was because a warm ocean breeze caught us at the right moment, or maybe it was because this carnitas is some of the best we’ve ever had. One bite and “DAMN” is the only thing we could say. Once you hit Damn Level, you know you’ve got some special on your hands. The juicy carnitas was beautifully seasoned, braised and cooked to near perfection. The real kicker was the way they crisped up and fried it before serving it. The crispy, crunchy, graggly edges were amazing and brought us a level of satisfaction and contentment we haven’t felt since discovering tortillas made out of cheese. Some people call it religion, others call it tacos. This is some serious stuff people, we HIGHLY recommend Tacos El Autlense. But we’re always looking for the next epic experience to grace us and never know when it’ll come. Think you’ve got the next spot for us to try? Hit us in the comments below 🌮🌮🌮!!!
Sunset at @mexicados 🇲🇽🌮 as people posted sunsets, I was eating 🙄 .
@instagram isn't working so trying to post for the 3rd time! Checked out MEXICADOS in Brampton for some mexican Fix! Not the authentic style, but lot better than other "burrito" places I've been! .
Burrito sauce is Amazing! Lots of stuff they make is in house (sofrito, sauce, guac, etc) .
ONLY THEIR CHICKEN IS HALAL HMA CERTIFIED! Hopefully the beef will be halal too but as of now it is NOT! They DO NOT serve Pork or Alcohol 👍 .
They are already opening 2nd location in Toronto! 👏👏

Plant Based Jackfruit Tacos 🤩 Tried to post these on #tacotuesday, but I was temp blocked from writing captions/commenting. Has this ever happened to anyone? 🤷♀️ Anyways, better late than never! If you haven’t tried making jackfruit tacos yet, what are you waiting for? They are super flavorful and delicious. I buy canned jackfruit at either @traderjoes or @wholefoods and sauté it in a pan with lots of taco seasoning. I add some water, cover and steam for ~10mins and then break up the chunks with a spatula! It’s that easy 🙌 Used some corn tortillas for these tacos and topped with cabbage, cilantro, jalapeños, microgreens, pickled red onions, @go_raw sprouted watermelon seeds and a creamy avocado sauce made by blending avocado, lime juice, cilantro, jalapeño and salt! Happy Taco Thursday friends! 😘
my friday night plans = me & a huge plate of paleo style loaded nachos 😎 how i did it ⤵️
- bottom layer is @sietefoods lime grain free tortilla chips - next up is grass fed ground beef sautéed with onions in avocado oil
- top with roasted sweet potato chunks, green onion, and lime wedges - my fave addition is the brand new @sietefoods hot sauces. super clean ingredients, made with apple cider vinegar, and the perfect amount of spicy. i used traditional and jalapeño 💃🏽
