What is keeping you from being happy?
I want to tell you: Life has no meaning. No meaning at all... nothing depends on what you do. Ever.
So... jusy relax and play, make everything so meaningful that it can exquisitely balance the holy meaninglessness of life.
Nothing more, nothing less...
Going towards new adventures after the most mystical period time ever... now heading back to my Italian roots.
And today brings an end to my 15 day placement in Malaysia. What an experience this was, to be able to experience education and schooling in a different country with a different cultural spin on it was absolutely incredible. This is an opportunity I will never forget and will always be grateful for. Thank you to my Malaysian mentor and my students who made each day such a joy, it was hard to say goodbye. Now back to Melbourne to start third year, semester two 🎉
Day 8 is a really special one. These women have shaped me in more ways than I could even begin to articulate. Sheryl and Sue were my dance teachers for 13 years. I am who I am today because of the values these women molded inside of me. They taught me the beauty of discipline, that for others to feel connection you will need to reach into your soul, get vulnerable and share whats there... that the rituals of training have a very important purpose. That you can say so much with no words at all. Lazet and Carol- who were so instrumental to my start in fitness. These women stand so tall - their presence cannot be missed. They continue to spread their love for community through their commitment to sharing health and wellness. They saw things inside of me that I could not see yet. They helped me water the constructive parts of my life, this highlighted the deconstructive habits I had at the time and a deeper unstanding of self allowed me to start healing. Lazet always said “The only constant in life is change”. She was so right!! My life since I began teaching in 2013 has changed drastically and I owe so much to these exceptional women. I am beyond grateful for my mentors. I don’t think I could ever say it enough 👑❤️🙏🏼☺️🤩😍 #thankyou#day8#10daysofgratitude#mentors#teachers#inspiration#fitness#teaching#healing#community#health#wellness#waterthegood#prunethebad#blessed#payingitforward#discipline#routine#rolemodels#grateful
Hi guys! I figured I’d introduce myself before I started posting anything. Plus I can’t get back into my room yet, so life is kind of boring right now.
My name is Mackenzie Sheffield! I’m a third grade teacher in Oklahoma going into my second year. I got married the day after school ended and things have finally calmed down. I’m excited to use this account to share and receive ideas and probably occasionally as a place to vent 😬. I have lots of stories and experience to share from only one year of teaching. Join me on this roller coaster ride we call teaching!! #teachersofinstagram#teachersfollowteachers#teacherlife#iteachtoo#iteachthird#teacher#teaching
#Throwback and I mean waaaaaay back to my first year of teaching. Kuwait National and Liberation Days are two of my favorite holidays. Kuwaitis LOVE their country and they celebrate it for the whole month of February! This was our February hallway. But as the saying goes: All the glitters isn’t gold.
I remember the hours and days we spent decorating this. I should have been in my classroom teaching but instead we spent time doing this. My pedagogy and classroom management was not there my first year, and I worked for a principal and head of department who expected the hallways to look this way every month. It was a competition to see whose section of the hallway was the best, and all of us were afraid to come up short! My attention that year was completely spent on 1. Worrying about the wrath that principal would place upon me if things weren’t looking over the top, 2. Worrying if I’d be fired, and 3. Preparing for, decorating, and choreographing different performances (none of which were optional, every teacher was required to participate). Bad experiences are the best experiences. You learn very quickly from them. I quit after the first year, and moved to another school where I was put on an amazing team and had a fabulous mentor teacher, who guided me through my 3 years there.
I pray this finds you in excellent health.

More Bitmoji fun! Got the idea to use these signs during small groups when needed from @teachinginfullbloom. I think it’s a great way to subtly communicate to students outside the group while minimizing distractions within the group! Interested in learning how to create these Bitmoji signs? Check out my Insta story (also saved as a highlight)! #bitmoji• •
P.S. Do you see the crazy pile of furniture in the corner of the classroom?! 😂
😍Absolutely loving this fun bulletin board sign! It’s so incredibly important to create a positive classroom environment to help students feel comfortable enough to build friendships, give effort, and take academic risks. This board is making me excited to get back into my classroom again! #Repost@misscarolinesclass with @get_repost
My favorite bulletin board ever!! My classroom is almost ready—if the kids do what this board says, we should be good!👍🏻
