I’ve been waiting to get this shot for a full year.
There’s a narrow window in which the Milky Way lines up directly between these two dinosaur models at Dinosaur Valley State Park near Glen Rose, Texas. During last year’s window, I was clouded out. This year, however, I got it!
These dinos, an Apatosaurus and a Tyrannosaurus rex, were on display at the 1964-65 World’s Fair in New York City. They were given to DVSP in 1970. The park is famous for its fossilized dinosaur footprints in and around the Paluxy River and are believed to have been made by Sauroposeidon proteles and Acrocanthosaurus dinosaurs.

There is still some green in AZ... but please don’t burn it all down with illegal campfires, shooting fireworks, tossing cigarette butts or even glass bottles that can create 🔥 because it is crazy dry out there! #WeNeedRain
