God can you imagine? Good thing both of these are illegal
😍🙌🏻 When you walk into @homegoods for puppy supplies and leave with a new table and a few other goodies! •
🌵I feel like some of my favorite pieces have been purchased in spare of the moment and totally unplanned! •
🌵Found this beauty tucked away in the jammed packed Homegoods aisle! They had literally restocked the day I walked in! WINNNN!!! It immediately caught my eye! I’ve been telling Paul I need to find a table that functions as an island, coffee table, bar top, etc. (I literally used it to make homemade banana bread the other night and was able to put my kitchen aide on it)
🌵The rules when bringing something into the RV are 1. You must LOVE it! (And baby it was LOVEEEE at first sight). 2. It has to serve more than one purpose or be able to be used in more than one way and 3. It has to be able to fit through the DOOR!!! HAHAHA seriously though... it’s tiny! 😂😂🙌🏻🙌🏻
🌵Do you guys have any rules for buying new things?
See those sweet little dirty feet? They belong my to four year old and they are rarely more than a yard away from me. That goes for both of my kids. .
This morning I was telling a friend that one of the biggest things I’ve realized in living tiny has been “I can’t escape from my kids!” It can be a hard thing when I need space, but it has also been a necessary thing. My tendency is to withdraw, and I literally cannot in such a small space. We still have quiet time every day, but now we usually do it together (coloring, Lego, reading). It’s draining when you have two gifted kids who want to ask how many atoms of pizza they have left and what time is and NEVER shut down. .
But. I’m embracing always being surrounded by dirty, stinky little boys with big minds and huge hearts! They are a true gift. I just need to learn to use my down time in a more restorative way 😊😬
Even our kitties enjoy hikes to the river for some crayfish catchin’! 🐱🌊💕

•SKOOLIE CONVERSION WEEK 12: ORDERING ROOF RAISE METAL•
First of all, how have we been working on the bus for 12 weeks already!!?? I had to triple check that! All this time and we still don’t have the roof raised! 🤦🏽♀️ I mean I know I’m personally into slow living and we’ve only been working weekends and it’s been in the scorching summer heat of Texas. But damn, after three months shouldn’t we be done and moving in! 😆 Truly I’ve accepted our slower than anticipated pace but hitting this milestone did catch me off guard a bit.
Okay, so Nathan ordered some pieces of metal to test for fit inside the hat channel. We chose 1X1.5” rectangular tubing and got two steel shim pieces to see which would fit more snuggly with the tubing, 1/8” and 3/16”, the latter of which was the winner. We’re also getting custom hat channels and riser pieces for the front. Half our orders were placed last night, the rest will be in before the weekend! 😁
We did a poll on our story asking what you wanted to see today, and, while it was close, our clothes storage won out! 👕
Here it is in all its glory- we have two rows of hanging clothes, a door with two shelves each, and these (super deep) cubbies at the head of our bed! (The third door has Theo's meditation pillows.)
Around the corner we have another set of three cubbies, but they're currently empty and ready to be painted. They normally house our workout clothes and hanging pants. Shoes live in a bin near the door!
Neither of us has a *ton* of clothing (relative to the norm), so fitting into a tiny closet has worked great so far! If we had to change it, I think we'd rework the workout clothes cubbies slightly, but most of the time we love it!
Could you share this much closet space with your partner?
#ghettofabulous || One of our late additions to the van was a removable tarp awning. We couldn't justify paying a ton for a pre-made awning.
It takes only a couple of minutes to set up and Andrew can do it without help. You can leave the sliding door open when it is raining and it helps shade the van as well as the space under it when it's sunny.
Bonus: it was well under $100.
30ft x 50ft tarp. The tarp alone weighs 35 pounds! But it did its job and kept the Tiny Spoon dry during a bad storm yesterday. We’re going to work around it as much as possible for the next few days because all next week looks like lots more rain! 👎🏼
"Yesterday was our first night in the bus and all went pretty well, all things considered. Our boys are struggling with all the changes so quickly but are doing as good as can be expected.
We don’t have electricity yet so that means no lights, the toilet and plumbing will be worked on tomorrow and although the door is cool and solved a bajillion problems, it sure is noisy.
Also, we need screens, I’m pretty sure the mosquitoes are trying to make me their king and are trying to carry me off to mosquito land piece by piece..
All in all, excited for our new life."
Wow @reimagininghome !! Those door stairs are incredible! Never seen anything like it on a bus build. Keep your spirits up and keep on Bussin!

Morning! Another full work day today but can’t complain when we get waves for background music 😀Ferry to Corfu this evening, then island hopping to Paxi, Kefalonia and Zakinthos. We hadn’t planned staying in Sagiada but there is a brilliant free camping spot, you can park right on the shore and there is even a shower 👌
This feeling. Of being in the mountains, surrounded by shades of green that taper and fade and sway in the warm air.
Slow days of doing absolutely nothing, but feeling absolutely everything. This feeling. Of nostalgia and wonder and pure, simple happiness.
These are the Catskills. This is the time and this is the place. This is the feeling. @thehuntergreenhouse
