🙋🏻♀️ I wanted to introduce myself some more to everyone! I’m currently working towards a masters degree with travel on the side! My program is in Holocaust and Genocide studies. I hope to keep conversation going and teaching these events to people for years to come as well advocating in order to prevent anything like them from happening again. Especially considering children are becoming more and more distant from them, with every passing day. • this photo was taken at the Holocaust memorial in Berlin 🇩🇪. It is one of the most breathtaking memorials I have ever been too, strictly because of the meaning behind it. The memorial is a bunch of concrete blocks made in different sizes and scattered throughout. It sits in the middle of the city and is meant to signify how a problem went from “not so bad” or unknown to something all consuming and terrifying. It signifies how everyday Germans found themselves in a situation they couldn’t not control, one they realized once it was too late. •
Do you have a memorial which has stuck out in your mind? I for sure have a few, and I’m glad to count myself among those who has seen this specific one in person!

This monument is of Georg Elser and many people don’t know his name. He attempted to kill Hitler and was almost successful but Hitler left 8 minutes early, before the bomb went off and Elser was caught. This monument lies on the street of Hitler’s bunker so Elser is always watching over.
This is such an interesting story because if the stars aligned, the world would be much different place. It makes me think about how each action or inaction makes such a difference, especially now. The world should be concerned about these detainment camps the US government is setting up for children of illegal immigrants. It’s scary to think what this can escalate to, which is why action of any sort is important right now.
On another note, I took the best free walking tour of my life in Berlin, filled with so much information. If you have 2 hours to spare in the city, I would highly recommend the experience. Taken 3/23/2018.

Now we are already three month in Germany and I really enjoying it at the moment. Nevertheless I looking forward to move in less than two month in our "own" place. I hope my husband's company doesn't change their mind and sending us to another location... 😬
One of the places I was most looking forward to visiting on this trip was this castle. It did not disappoint! The life of the man behind the castle, Ludwig II, was a very interesting one to learn about.
