Today will probably be the most honest and personal post we’ve done. Back in November Magdalena was diagnosed with #breastcancer. It was a big shock. Thoughts like “how could this happen to me”, “why me, I thought I had a healthy lifestyle” and “I don’t want to die” popped in her head immediately. Suddenly your whole universe goes upside down. Suddenly you feel scared, vulnerable, mortal... But after that first shock it is all about survival, about living, about facing it all, with a smile and a positive mind. Suddenly you discover how many other women (and people around you) have or are suffering from #cancer. Suddenly “why me” is no longer what you think about, because it is not just you, it is so many others.
Two weeks ago we reached one milestone in this journey - the end of chemo (yay 😃), let’s hope for good! There are a few more milestones ahead of us like radiotherapy, hormone blocking treatment, physiotherapy, but we thought it’s the right moment to share this with you. One thing that Magdalena certainly did not want and does not want is people feeling sorry for her. She wants to keep feeling like she is living her normal life, laugh and spend time with you, as much as it is physically possible 😊💪 She also wants you to know that cancer and chemo do not mean the end of the world! Life goes on and the focus should be on enjoying every single moment! We, cancer patients, don’t want your pity, we want your smiles, hugs, spending time together, having fun and just being ourselves.
This big blue 💙is dedicated to all of our friends, family, doctors and even strangers who have given us so much love, care, help and dedication in the past months. All of you who have sent their kindest wishes, good energy and prayers. We feel extremely blessed and lucky. The biggest hero here however is Periklis. Magdalena could not have made it without his support, love, hugs and kisses. The real key to happiness is finding good and positive in all situations. One of the most important of Periklis’ skills. And don’t worry, Live-Bio keeps thriving! 😃 In fact meeting all of you amazing people who visit us gives us even more strength to keep living our dream! 🙏💙
The truest thing about Bali 🏝🗺 is that without its friendly, kind and welcoming people it would be just a popular mecca 👣🌏 with a little heart and no soul. In fact, its the local people with genuine kindness, gratitude and modesty that make this island a jewel 💎 in the sea. #bali#indonesia#traveltheworld#travelersnotebook#asia

Recently, I tried a new place in Cozumel called @cerveceriapuntasur . I loved the vibe and the concept they are pursuing, which is becoming Cozumel´s "local brewery". With a laid-back Caribbean atmosphere, I must say i enjoyed my experience here and I plan to make it one of my regular places.
The food is good, the vibe is right and the beer is cold.
° °••TIP: try the lion fish pizza! 🦁🐟••°
Background on the lionfish issue: for the past few years, the Caribbean has faced an invasion problem regards lionfish. The thing here is, this is a non-native specie, and with no natural predator, this fish is unbalancing the reef´s ecosystem. Local establishments are doing their part including dishes with this particular type of fish in order to control its population, so there you go, this pizza is not only delicious but also, proactive.

There has to be more to travel than dreamy photos and overeating. There has to be a reason behind it all, right? What is my effect in the world? What is the POINT of posting photos of myself in wanderlust-coma-inducing places? I’m just going to spill from the heart for a bit and we’ll see what comes out...
I share these images because I feel so much joy in my life that I can’t contain it within myself. I feel like I HAVE to share because it’s so freakin beautiful and mind blowing and it’s a direct result of A) allowing myself to dream B) having the dedication, discipline, and mindset (and I’d like to also point out, privileges, because visualization and positivity isn’t always enough in every situation) to pursue it and C) taking risks, believing in myself, and giving myself permission to do all sorts of things that society would normally deem “unacceptable” or just crazy and irresponsible. So in one way, I post these images because I feel proud of where I’ve been able to bring myself and I want others to dare to dream and build the life they drool over, too! But there’s something else.. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I feel like I have this secret door to Italy. I don’t know how I found it, but it gives me access to the real culture..the secret spots, the family stories, the understanding of what it’s actually like to be someone from this place. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
In our experiences that we offer travelers, we always search to explore not just the beauty but also the challenges in the locals lives. By opening the door to the struggles and pain that locals here experience, we open the door to true authenticity. We open the door to human connection and THAT, to me, is what travel is really about. That’s what makes it meaningful. Because when we authentically connect, we see the other person showing vulnerability, and this allows us to be vulnerable with ourselves. When we are raw and honest, we can break down barriers we’ve built over the years and realize what’s really holding us back from living our own amazing, mind-blowing life that gives us so much joy that we HAVE to post all about it!
The beauty of a serene lake can only be justified by taking a boat ride in the lake! India has so many backwaters in the South that this picture is just a glimpse of the immense heavenliness present in this part of the world.

Chè!!!!! Omg this is the other Vietnamese dessert that I will one day write sonnets about. A liquid concoction that you can find on nearly every block (thank god, though my waist line certainly suffers the consequences). The base is generally a coconut cream or a sweet tea (though I’ve also seen grass jelly assortments), and it’s jam-packed with delectable goodies such as fruit, sticky rice, sweet legumes, or tapioca nuggets. There are myriad assortments. My personal favorites are the banana/sticky rice in coconut cream and the sweet bean/sticky rice in coconut cream. Local prices <$0.30. This was one of the things I missed the most from 🇻🇳 when I left for 🇰🇭 a few months ago. 😍😍😍 A must try if you come here. Must must must try. #saigon#hochiminhcity#binhthanh#vietnam#wanderlust#southeastasia#vietnamese#vietnamesefood#vietnamesecuisine#che#likealocal#travellikealocal
