Super cheesy, but I have ALWAYS wanted to do the cliche of an oversized bow on a new (old) car in the driverway, complete with jewelry box holding the keys (I blame Mercedes commercials from the late 90's for making this a bucket list thing). Deets - it's a minty E39 M5 that I got for @bfrancesi as a thank you for carrying around that bump for the last 8 mos. The car was originally bought by Penske Racing as a gift to NASCAR legend Ryan Newman. I bought the car off of a BMW obsessive (and super nice guy) who works as an attorney for Tesla. It is mostly stock except for the Stage 3 Dinan Suspension, brake ducting, shark ECU tune, and straight pipes from the cats back. With 400+ HP this 2-ton tank should scoot through the quarter in the high 12's. // #bmw#e39#m5#preggers#hotrod#bavarian#euro#dinan#parenthood#vanos#cheesy#sanfrancisco
I'm super long winded.
Um, I think things are progressing quicker than I expected. +Not Pictured: I went through the engine harness, verified all wiring ok and checked my wiring diagrams pin by pin to make sure everything is where it's supposed to be. +Pictured: Is the body side connector from an e36 and a harness side connector from an m20 e30. With these two things I am going to make an adapter to connect the engine side to the body side since the connectors are not compatible.
P.s. Also not pictured is the over hauled fuel system and installing the new gas tank. All new 5/8 fuel injection lines from the front to the back. Overkill, should be good for another 30 years lol
P.s.s. I hate fixing stupid shit all the time on cars at work, so when I build something old, I replace almost every wear item imaginable to keep forward momentum.
All the way from Vegas @thegr8santini came threw for some work on his front bumper for his bad ass #e90 . Half way mark. Goal is to paint it by the middle of this week. Stay tuned to see the final result
