Ventanas al Mar is the only hotel on the east side. It has 16 beautiful rooms on two floors with patios or balconies facing the ocean. The hotel does have electricity, solar during the day and by generator at night. There is wifi in the lobby. A substantial and yummy breakfast is included with your room. Lunch and dinner and cocktails and beer can be purchased which is perfect for those lazy days where the only decision you want to make is pool or ocean! The east side is busy during the days with tours and visitors going to the beach and the bars but at night, the only people around are hotel guests. There is no light pollution and the stars blanket the sky. Staying here is pure relaxation. You won't need a car if this is all you want. Coconuts is next door and you can also walk to El Pescador and Chen Rio restaurants. If you do want to explore the east side and wander into town, a car will be necessary. You can rent one for your stay or the hotel can arrange for a car or taxi to pick you up. .
Prior to moving to Cozumel, we vacationed at Ventanas al Mar exclusively upon discovering it in 2013. For us, our hard work deserved pure relaxation and this hotel with no television, phones, or in room wifi suited us nicely. Add in the delicious food, incredible staff, and comfortable rooms it is paradise! The current staff has been with the hotel for years and I can't say enough good about them.
Ventanas is also an amazing location for a small retreat or wedding, family reunion, as well as other special occasions.
DM if you are heading to Cozumel and you would like a drone shot. We will take a short video starring you and your beautiful surroundings and include an Instagram worthy photo.

E N T R E P R E N E U R is a word that means risk, late hours, self-motivation, disappointment and responsibility but speaks freedom way louder than any job I know. I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs so it came really easily as a course of action but the actual process can be intimidating. I’d love to hear from you all, what’s your dream entrepreneur job, started yet or not? #verticalviews#brooklynbridge
...hmmm, what to do if one didn't pack a 240+ cordellette and is absolutely bent on the quad anchor? ...although i came up with these on my own over a few years ago, i am also certain someone else out there has probably, but not definitely thought these up before, too...just reposting an old FB post via instagram... 1...don't have a cordellette to construct your quad anchor? Match 2 double slings, fix knots at both ends(with stitching in the knotted loops and clear) and clip into different colored slings...reduce potential shock extension by tying knots closer to the center... 2......make your QUAD ANCHOR belaying more comfortable by off-setting the end-knots to create an upper and lower shelf to clip into and belay off of respectively....NOTES: shown here was done with two different toned double-slings to ensure correct redundant clipping in. To improve smoother equalization, tie stitching inside the knotted loops. To reduce extension, tie knots closer to center with carabiners clipped safely into one of each of the different colored slings. Potential buckling of carabiners over the knot in the event if one of the anchors were to fail.
3......if you are absolutely sold on using the QUAD-ANCHOR, but wondering how to for a 3 point anchor-- here is one way to construct...same principles and notes apply as mentioned in previous posts... NOTES: shown here has been extended off a doubled basket self-equalizing sling(blue) off 2 anchor points and also off a single third point backed up with knot-- and as was done in the previous two posts, with two different toned double-slings(refer 1 n 2) to improve redundancy by clipping into one of each color.
Please note the NOTES.
