I’m going to deviate for a minute from my usual posts but there’s a good reason. A great reason, even. This glorious human being, @parkarrrr, is celebrating another successful trip around the sun today and while I can’t be there to celebrate with him, I’ll be dancing and singing and eating cupcakes in his honor.
I’m grateful that at some point I figured out that growing up doesn’t mean giving up on your childlike wonder and forgetting the things that inspire joy and awe in the most simple ways... and I’m even more grateful to have met someone who views life the same way.
Thank you for being my adventure partner, my best friend, my dad joke teller, my support, and for being exactly the man I want and need in my life. Thanks for getting older with me but always staying young at heart, and cheers to hopefully many more years of laughs, smiles, adventures, and amazing memories even when we’re getting monsoon rained on in Northern Ireland (or anywhere). And in case I’ve never thanked you for all the videos and photos you have of me making the outdoors my bathroom... don’t hold your breath.
Not the camera nor our eyes...neither realistic paintings nor graphic designs...nothing we posses or create will ever be able to truly recreate the beauty that surrounds us in this world or that of the world’s beyond. We can never photograph the full essence of a sunset or record the way it makes us feel. We can’t take in or process every nuance and minute detail of ocean waves crashing against rocky structures emerging from the waters, twinkling under the twilight of midnight skies *happy sigh*.
But, we can’t help but try can we 😌
I followed this sun until it disappeared all too soon behind a wall of smoky haze. So, so beautiful 😍

a magical place where two rivers meet.
a meeting of two ferocious forces, only to mix and exist harmoniously.
part 2 of my recent trip to Georgia 🇬🇪 is live on my blog (direct link in bio)
we did a lot of culture exploring, so head over to learn what we learnt ❤️
