It was hard to get this smile out of our faces throughout our stay in Barcelona. In this pic, myself and my beloved husband @pfehring , my travel partner since 25 years. 💑Upon our arrival in Barça we headed from the @hotelalmabcn to the @suculent_restaurant and then to have a last drink at the incredible @bar_canete .
Tomorrow, I will atart posting everything about our great stay in this city, which is the number 1 destination worldwide 👉🏻 Our beloved Barcelona. ❤️🇪🇸 Ps: the pic, not the best in the world, was taken by the waiter from behind the bar. I chose to post it because of the sheer happiness it transmits. 😄⭐️

It’s my first day back to my “normal routine” without the kittensitting. (whom I tentatively named Archer, just so I wouldn’t have to call her “Cat” all week). I have to say, I was irrationally emotional about returning the lil calico kitty to her mom. There is something therapeutic about animals. Maybe it’s the way they cuddle with you when you really need it (& especially when you didn’t know you needed it). Maybe it’s seeing this lil creature grow before your very eyes. I spent too many hours this week googling how to raise kittens 🐱 & found out that kittens can’t pee/poo on their own the first 2-3 weeks. Mama cat has to lick the kittens’ bumhole & etc to stimulate poo & pee, & I have to be honest, pretty glad I didn’t have to do that. Sooo life’s little blessings, ya know? Since I was anxious to leave kitty Archie alone long, we’d come back home to check on her & play with her anytime we worked outside of the house. So like I said, it’s my first day back to my “normal routine” without the kittensitting. We’re out for the day - working & exploring. So tell me: do you have any cat experience? Have you ever raised baby animals? I’d love to hear your stories!
Thank you God for blessing me❤️ much more then I deserve❤️

As we are preparing our next trip to Barcelona, here a reminder of a fun thing to do: a visit to the @estrelladamm brewery! 🍻 The story of Estrella Damm is one of immigration, love, passion and the sun kissed Mediterranean: over 140 years ago, August Kuentzmann Damm, a young master brewer from Alsace, flew the Franco-Prussian War with his wife Melanie and immigrated to Spain. Here, at the Mediterranean coast, they settled down and realized their dream: brewing beer. 🙌🏻 In 1876 they set up their own brewery and created a beer that was adapted to the Mediterranean climate: lighter than central European beers that are more suited to cold climates, Estrella Damm is known as the oldest Mediterranean lager beer brand in Spain. 🇪🇸 100% natural barley malt, rice and hops… to this day, Estrella Damm is brewed using the original recipe from 1876. To assure the authenticity and quality of its ingredients, Estrella Damm is working directly with local Mediterranean farmers. 🍃 The brewery has its own malt house and thus full control over the entire process: from selection of the barley, via germination to drying and roasting. 🌾 Another crucial ingredient that makes Estrella Damm unique is the yeast. For many generations, the same strain is being used. If it were lost or damaged, the taste of Estrella would change. That is why the highest security measures are taken. ❤️⭐️🍻 #barcelona#damm#beerofbarcelona#estrella#beer#fab#brewery#brewerytour#fabidea#drink#travel#beerlover#mediterranean#fab#visitbarcelona#explore#discover#food#travelforfood#beerpairing#beertasting#gourmet#trip#fabexperiences#fabplaces#tourism#spain#lager#travelblogger#mediterranean#beerknowledge#foodie
Real talk: I paid 15 euro for a guided tour to see this place and take this photo. And while the tour was a bit dry, I’d pay it again just to see this place! The details were absolutely insane (the inside of the theater is gorgeous). And I had so much fun strutting down this walkway while the rest of my tour watched 😂
Have you ever paid a lot of money to just see something for a photo? I’m guilty here!
