Opened in 1889 this single line would be in service for 30 years. Once the new station was finished in 1915 the old one was abandoned and later used as a water catchment, that was until town water was available.
Years went by and the station was lost under dirt mud and rubish and in 1995 the platform and tunnel were excavated. These days
photographers and tourist alike flocked here for many reasons although one of the most popular times to see the old station is for the glow worm population and when it floads after a heavy down poor.
That was the exact reason I went down on this paticular day was to capture something special, chest deep in flood waters I set my camera up and started shooting. not know what was underfoot nore if I would actually get the shot I was after, The result and worry was well worth the risk.
These vibrant red banksia were lining the Jerusalem Creek Walk, along with a huge variety of coastal heathland flora and fauna. There is so much to explore within the Northern Rivers.
Take only photos, leave only footprints.
It’s no secret that plastic straws are wreaking havoc on the environment. But there are still times where consumers prefer to use a straw. So, to lower the impact on the environment, we now offer FSC® certified paper straws 🍹
Back to work and reality after two weeks off 😞 My poor toes feel like they are about to fall off due to this ridiculous cold. It was -3 at 7am this morning in Scone, what a joke! Spring can’t come soon enough.

ADMIT IT! At some point you have tried to see if you have super powers...! 🌟
I can't wait to go see Ant-Man and The Wasp in the cinema, I love action movies, especially ones with super powers! @marvelAUNZ#ad
If you could have any super power what would it be? I find it hard to pick one so my top three are:
2) The copycat power - when you see someone doing a certain action and you can then do it too (play guitar like a pro or martial arts!)
3) The ability to talk to animals
TRAVEL TIP - You can find this wasp wing mural on 72 Gould Street in Bondi #waspwings
