Had no dinner last night, went out for drinks, and ended up having a slice of pizza at midnight. To top it off it's almost 10 and I haven't had breakfast. I was a little bummed about it all (even though I had fun) but remembered how far I've come! There's still a long way to go but I won't let a few hiccups bring me down 😎

Day 33 - Onboarding Phase Week 5

I think I can laugh now! I weighed in this morning at 123.1lbs
What's the big deal, you ask? Well that's the starting weight when I began onboarding, about 6 weeks and 400+ daily calories ago!
I have been on deficit calories for so long, for fear of gaining the weight back. To be able to repair my metabolism is VERY important to me and to be able to take in a healthy amount of calories while keeping the fear of ballooning at bay.
For those that are thinking...oh well, that they can't do it because they're small in stature. I just graze 5'3" when I put on shoes. You can repair your metabolism too. It's not difficult, it's just having the proper tools and trust that it will work before freaking out with every +1lb, fluctuation.
I now, not only have the calorie runway but I also have the confidence that after Deeper State Keto that I can bring my daily intake back to a decent, healthy level on my own.
Today's foods consisted of:
-fatty coffee 219 cal
-snack: pork rinds 84 cal
-lunch: ground beef, duck Farmer's sausage, spinach 740 cal
-dinner: bacon, beef, pork, mushrooms, zucchini 582 cal
-mocha mascarpone 225 cal

This is a huge day for me! Not only did I get out of my plateau but I’ve also lost 150 pounds. 110 of that lost in under a year (11 months). I say it’s possible but I truly never thought it was possible for me to change my lifestyle the way I have. I was a midnight then go to bed eater, fast food junkie and overall had some horrible eating habits. There is no secret. Different things work for different people. Foods that are messing up with your sleep
🍝1. Tomato sauce. It contains the amino acid tyramine. This triggers the brain to release norepinephrine, a stimulant that boosts brain activity and inhibits sleep
🍫2. Chocolate. They naturally contain caffeine, which may be problematic for those who aren’t used to consuming it regularly. Chocolate also has a compound called theobromine, a stimulant that causes an increase in heart rate, making it difficult to fall asleep
🍷3. Alcohol. While alcohol is a natural depressant that may help you fall asleep. It makes it difficult to go to a deep sleep, affecting sleep quality
🥩4. Steak. A research from NCBI found that eating foods high in saturated fat, like a good steak, interferes with deep sleep. Those foods also take linger to digest, causing indigestion, which can make it hard to sleep
🥟5. Chips and sala. Spicy foods like salsa can trigger heartburn in those who have acid reflux, which can be exacerbated when laying down. Eating less salt theoughout the day will reduce your bathroom trips at night
🥤6. Soda. Regularly consuming soda, which has caffeine and sugar, has been linked to a short sleep duration

I had the pleasure be in a wonderful group and do one of the best workouts that I have ever done with one of the best trainers. Ketosis happens when your body is running on fats instead of carbs! It is this amazing state that turns your body into a fat burning machine. It can sometimes be difficult for me to get my fat in since I am clean Keto (not eating 🥓 every meal😝). So my trick is bulletproof coffee! Seriously this stuff will change your life. Brew your coffee as normal, add coffee plus organic butter, heavy whipping cream, coconut oil, and stevia in a blender, blend and enjoy the frothy goodness. I typically add 1/4-1/2 tbs of both butter and oil.

When rowing underhand you get so much more lat engagement than overhand due to elbow and upper arm positioning!
Not only do you get more lat engagement but i feel a lot more upper back engagement as well as i feel i can get a stronger contraction and really squeeze my traps!
Fantastic compound back mass builder! Just be sure to have a nice straight back, hips back and follow the same bar path as in the video to get the most lat engagement. WITHOUT THAT FORWARD AND DOWN BAR PATH you can't get anywhere near the same lat engagement!

Oh boy. I thought bathing suit shopping would be so much more fun than it was. I tried on the most awful of suits. Some brands I fit into a 14, some an 18. Some (2) looked good, the rest were awful. This was my favorite. But, here I sit picking apart every part of my body that I’m so self conscious about. I’m VERY used to wearing swim dresses or skirts to cover my thighs. This will be my first bathing suit without a little skirt in many many years. And I’m self conscious as hell. BUT, I’m gonna rock it anyways because it is cute and I’ve come a hell of a long way! If anything, I know I need to work even harder on my inner thighs and legs. I’m hopeful that by the end of summer, I’ll be 100% confident in it!
