WoD day 22
... hard today. I was planning on resting/recovery (hit 3 weeks yesterday!) but my body wanted to to get out of bed. We're shooting for 30 days now.
30 pushups. So hard after 20. Had to touch my forehead to the boards on the last 4. Thirty. Dogs took advantage of my being out of gas and licked my face. Oh the joys of pet ownership.
30 sit-ups. Damn I'm tired. They burn my energy.
30 squats. I tried them without the jump, was a little bit easier but I missed the pain. I'm lonely without it now. Gee, thanks Devil. 😈
12 chin-ups. All beautiful, baby. I remember 3 weeks ago I struggled with just 3. This is significant.
22 days, my friends. Most of those days I have not felt like doing this. I did it anyway, and I will do it again tomorrow. That is discipline. I earned this. I am gonna allow myself a couple of tears today. 2. They're a luxury I really can't afford right now, but I earned them.
Go after your dreams. It's the pursuit that will make you feel alive.

Sırada güç antrenmanı var! Öncelikle hareketi vücut ağırlığımızla, yapabildiğimiz tekrarda yapıyoruz. Daha sonra sırasıyla ağırlık ekleyerek devam ediyoruz. Sayıları belirleyeceğiniz bir kalıba da oturtabilirsiniz (azalan; 12-10-8 ... gibi). İstediğimiz zaman ve istediğimiz kadar dinleniyoruz. Amacımız öncelikle antrenmanı tamamlamak olsa da olabildiğince dinlenme zamanlarını azaltmaya çalışıyoruz!

Least Favorite Movement: Probably snatches or anything over head.
Advice to someone new: Don’t wait 3 years to start like I did. I worked up every negative scenario I possibly could in my head as to why crossfit wasn’t for me long before I even knew what it was. I was scared, almost to tears (embarrassing to admit), before my one on ones and for the first couple of months. Crossfit really is for anyone and it took me starting to realize that. It might feel overwhelming at first but it really isn’t. The coaches are amazing and they will help you every step of the way. I’ve never been an athlete. I didn’t play sports growing up. I’m just a mom that wants to feel good and add as many years to my life as possible! (I secretly want muscles too.) Also- the people at CFDL are amazing... I am really thankful for everyone there. The encouragement during the WODs is a game changer. It’s just a group of really great people who want to live a healthier life. “I get anxiety every time there’s 10 seconds put on the clock before we start the WOD. 😂 I have this horrible fear that I won’t be able to finish the workout... Using yoga as a way to warm up and prime the body for the day’s programming, with a 5-10 minute yoga sequence designed to target all the areas of the body you’ll be using in the session.
I’m loving this way of warming up and cooling down. The warmup really sets your mind and body while the cool down flow allows the nervous system to recover while lengthening and stretching the muscles and joints.

We are 2 dives down in this competition and I have 4 dives to go! My first dive was a great success and I set a new Aussie record. Then I turned early before I reached the bottom on my second dive because I stuffed up my equalisation. I'm really looking forward to my next dive though!
