I felt as though the world was spinning,
Sadly, I did not realise it was I who was moving.
The opportunity to achieve is out there for everyone. We somehow slip into the next process like robots and forget to take the helm. Actions built around the courage to do your absolute best is the only way to keep up with life.
It creeps into your mind and steals your sanity,
They say it heals with time, yet have never felt the pain of being lonely.
Loneliness affects a variety of people, and I find it hard to understand what goes on through our heads when we can't shake the feeling. It hurts, it really does.

Hey. I haven't heard from you for a while,
What have you been doing? What happened to your smile?
I notice the cracks that you try to hide,
I hope you're well and I mean it sincerely,
Even though we left things unsaid I still think of you dearly,
And I really do miss the way that we were,
Although some parts feel like a blur.
Well, I've had some time to adjust,
And find myself rather than be stuck in the past,
I promised you heaven but you gave me hell,
I say this because I'm not the type of person to dwell,
We were a mistake from the start,
Opposites may attract but we were poisoning each others hearts,
I wish you were my saviour,
And I wish I could take back all the years that I cried,
You may see these cracks that I'd rather hide,
But to me they're memories that I pushed to the side.
He called it Someday. The place after the now. The time on the edges of tomorrow and all the tomorrows after that. I prodded at the word in my mind: Someday.
A sun-worn field, fingers brushing through tall reeds: a pretty place, that little mirage of a word. And it made me think how everyone has a Someday, and they are all individual and ever-changing. His Someday is not my Someday. Just as today used to be my Someday, when I slept among the dreams that are now my waking reality.
We all look to that realm beyond the present to escape from our sorrow, our fear, our selfishness. We look to it as a light at the end of the tunnel that is already lit perfectly enough for us to see where to place our foot next. But we need more, we need an even more perfect clarity, an eradication of the darkness that is there. So we know light when we see it. We believe that one day, the discrepancies between now and the after-now will be balanced and it will have all been for something, for Someday.
That’s what he called it. And I smiled at the thought of humanity, to think up such a clever little word.
