Confession: I took a yoga class today for the first time in a while. The instructor finished class by commenting that a practice in mindfulness can be as simple as acknowledging your habits in certain situations. “Who are you when this happens?” One of the negative habits I’m currently working on is my tendency to overextend myself to the point of perpetual fatigue so that I feel behind in 12 tasks versus focusing on maybe 2, at most. I know the source of this game of catch-up relates to having a professional dance career abruptly cut short by illness nearly 3 years ago (from which I have recovered) and suddenly realizing I was 22 without a college degree and at that moment, without a source of income. Still learning to take an exhale, prioritize my time and enjoy the process! What are your positive and negative habits?
